People with impaired hearing are a part of our society and to make life easier for them is our duty as a human-being. For this purpose, we want to develop a glove to vocalize a deaf user’s hand gestures to communicate with people who don’t know the sign language.
Sign Language Glove is a prototype for vocalization of sign language using gesture recognition which is understood by constructed algorithm based on reading multiple sensors located on the hand such as accelerometers and flex sensors connected to the MCU. This algorithm’s main purpose is to process each finger’s and arm’s movement inputs separately and understand the gesture in order to output the matching gesture which can be used in lots of engineering projects as it can get hundreds of inputs from one hand.
